Civtek was founded in 2001 and attained a CIDB 8CE grading in 2008. Civtek is 51% black-owned and has a current Level 2 B-BBEE status. Civtek’s vision is to uplift the local communities we work in and to create better opportunities for the residents of these communities. Our aim is to make a positive contribution to the local communities and improve the lives of the local residents and especially the children as they are the leaders of tomorrow.

We have numerous existing relationships with majority black-owned companies which all started as SMME’s working on projects where we were involved in.
SMME PARTICIPATION
We are working with local SMME’s on all the projects we work on and have various success stories to tell. We strive to do valuable on-site training in these organizations in order for these SMME’s to gain valuable experience to equip them better for future work opportunities and to become established contractors.
EMPLOYMENT OF LOCAL LABOUR
We employ local labourers from the local communities we work in and although we believe in uplifting local SMME’s, it is also of utmost importance to employ, train and uplift local labourers.
PROCUREMENT, LOCAL SUPPLIERS AND PLANT HIRE COMPANIES
Our aim is to as far as possible use BEE compliant companies as suppliers, but more specific local suppliers, local security companies and local plant hire companies. We have established very good relationships with local suppliers and trust that these relationships will grow going forward.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Social responsibility lies very close to our hearts as this normally involves the children, the elderly, disabled homes, schools, churches and other community centres in need. We always look for opportunities to contribute to these organizations as they always struggle to keep heads above water.
